Beauties of Estonia (5/12). Karst

Karst landforms have formed as a result of karstification, mainly dissolving of carbonate rocks by flowing water. Karst is everywhere where there are limestone plateaus and groundwater flowing in its crevasses. In northern Estonia on the Ordovician and Silurian limestone plateaus both prerequisites are met, and consequently various karst forms are abundant there.
